Beer Battered Cheese Recipe
Beer battered cheese is a sinfully delicious appetizer that will satisfying your cravings.
1/2 cup beer
1 cup pancake mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 pounds fresh cheese curds, room temperature
vegetable oil, for frying
In a small bowl, combine the beer, pancake mix, salt, and egg. Mix well.
In a large sturdy saucepan set over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil to 400ºF.
Once oil it hot, dip the cheese curds in the beer batter and then carefully drop them, one at a time, into the hot oil. Be careful not to overcrowd the saucepan.
Allow the cheese to fry until golden brown, about 1 minute.
Transfer to a wire rack to drain and continue with the remaining cheese curds.
