This oven roasted rib recipe produces tender, juicy ribs. They are first boiled, then coated in the sauce and placed to bake for up to three hours.
1-2 onions, thinly sliced
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2-4 teaspoons chili powder
3/4 cup water
1 Tablespoon minced fresh garlic (more ore less to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper corns
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.
Line a shallow baking pan with aluminum foil.
Using a large pot, place the ribs in, cover with water and bring the water to a boil.
Turn the heat down to medium heat and let the ribs simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the water and place them into the prepared pan.
Prepare the sauce by stirring together the ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili power, water, garlic and pepper corns.
Pour the sauce over the ribs, turning the meat a couple times to fully coat.
Place into the preheated oven, and bake for 1 1/2 to 3 hours or until the meat is fully cooked.
